Speaking as a very uptight individual who needs to lighten up, you have a good point, lighten up and have fun...... but not to much fun. There is a time for it all, you just have to see it.
I would say that no, not a lot of people take it all to seriously, just look at the ratio of doctors and lawyers vs. party animals, homeless people and the people who answer this question.

If people take what you say literally, then everyone would be nonchalant about everything, and adopt a lackadaisical attitude, and nothing will get done in the right way. Living life right requires that one be on his toes to be able to make the right decisions.

Man, you hit the nail right on the head!!!! Today is one of those days where I just can't seem to get my head out of my backside. Like life actually revolves around me!!! Sometimes it just gets out of hand and I need a slap across the chops to get off my horse. I almost said "High horse" but corrected myself in flight. I'm feeling my better now, thank you!!!
