Don't waste your money. You have 47,000 on a vehicle that will likely go 150,000 without a major breakdown. You will be money ahead to drop two grand in a savings account for 'repairs' as very few major repairs on modern cars ever exceed this amount. Aftermarket extended warranties are junk. I repeat: J-U-N-K.

Try going back to the dealership and asking for an extended warranty.

If anyone was going to give you one, it would be the dealership where you bought it, but it is unlikely that you qualify now. Put the money you are thinking of spending on that into a money market to start saving for the repairs or your next car.

There is a company called Guardian. They have resonable rates and you can get you vehicle fixed almost anywhere. Look into it its the best coverage for the price.

Dude, save your money instead of buying one of those warranties. They constantly find reasons not to pay your claim. Put your $1000 in a savings account instead.
