I have around 50 plants, some large and some smaller, and I have a small home, along with a cat, dog,..golden retriever, and the greatest husband in the world. I have way to many plants, but I enjoy them so much. Almost half of them are 4' or more.

One - a cheese plant which is about 6 feet high and is the only plant I haven't managed to kill (yet).

I've planted lots of trees but they're not at home so I don't know if they count - about 200 in all.

I live right in the heart of the tropics, so my apartment is festooned with:

Dwarf bamboo
(About 5 feet, grows at a tolerable rate, but still plenty fast!)

3 Calathea makoyana ('peacock plants' - lovely foliage, they can be grown in the US as well, in warmer zones)
2 Calathea 'wilson princeps', ditto - I think)

(These guys just about clear 4ft, IF you include their pots : )

Lots of little guys:

Calathea corona, spider plants (always loved 'em), wandering jew, some stromanthe (not tricolor, a bit too gaudy), 2 bird's nest ferns, some anthuriums.

I'd guess about 30 plants in all.

If I owned a house, a huge bank of climbing bougainvillea (with white flowers) would be cool - maybe someday!

Sadly, I do not have any anymore. I had to give my lillies and other small plants to my mom, because my children are just too attracted to them (ie) pulling off their leaves, trying to eat them, digging in the dirt
