The same reason that people rob banks, that is where the money is. The rich have gotten much richer over the last 20 years or so, while the middle class has shrunk, and the poor have been left out of the riches. The only other source of money for all of the things we want the government to do for us is to keep borrowing, but how much more in hock to the Chinese do you want the US to be?

Why do Republicans want to take the money from the poor and middle class, and allowing the rich to keep all of their money and give the rich huge tax breaks?
I think the rich could part with some of the green to help out with things, and allow the poor and middle class to get a small break. Don't you think??

Democrats don't think they take rich people's money and give it to the poor any more than Republicans don't think they take poor people's money and give it to the rich.
Both ideologies are flawed.
The government, rather controlled by Democrats or Republicans, should take a proportionate fair share from everyone. Let's say that fair share is 10%. The millionaire pays $100,000. The poor slob who makes $10,000 a year pays $1,000. Let the rest of the tax revenue come from mega-rich corporations by taking 25% of the profits they reap from being allowed to function under a free system of capitalism. -RKO-

It keeps the poorer masses that sit and listen to rap, that would rather take an easy path and not struggle to get anywhere in their favor at election time, and then they have to bus and taxi them to the voting booth, maybe in two districts under another ID . Who the hell is out there checking anyway?Oh yeah thats right, their buds and senior retired people that can't see to button their pants and get around on walkers after leading a life of easy and being carefull not to strain themselves! I'm sure they remember the bread & soup lines, at least some of the older one do!

That's the way they got rich. Remember, they're the ones who promoted welfare so much. You know . . . welfare . . . the "get rich for doing nothing except robbing your neighbor" program?! And they're the ones who promote Criminal Justice programs. You know, the programs that enforce our laws where only the criminals have justice. And they're the ones who liberally find ways to remove God from our country . . . you know . . . God, the One with the Ten Commandments they hate so much. And you ask why they do something so simple as take rich people's money. Come on!! God, as in Jesus our Christ, Bless you.

yes we Democrats want their money. Not your money. They should pay taxes like working people pay them.
Most wealthy I know pay no taxes on income. Arnold gets $20 million per picture, he pays no income taxes. Check his tax returns, they are public info.

Also read taxes by income level in the 2005 returns they are public.
Republicans want to move taxes to the working class in order to pay for their mistakes, they want you to pay the $2 trillion cost of war in Iraq. Not them. republicans also want you to pay the $500 billion they spend on defense and take away Social Security from your Mother and Father. That is fact.
Republicans also want you to pay for the federal deficits they ran up over the past 6 years not them. Republicans just raised that number to $9 trillion in debt for you and the working class.
BTW, I would support a end to all Federal taxes on income. I like a Federal sales tax better or flat tax. My reason is that the people have no representaion in the Federal Government. Organized crime is alive and well in America some call it Congress.

considering that the majority of wealth in this country is inherited, and that a vast majority of the super wealthy got there money criminally.. I think it's time for a redistribution of the wealth.. I work way harder than George Bush ever has, where is my millions ?
