Help! I bought a ornamental piece of wood at Creed CO forgot the name.Origin is a Mexico plant root. Craft use

It is a beautiful gnarled knobby reddish brown in color and varnishes out beautifully. Makes various
crafty items like arrangements and display pieces. What is the botannical name for it? Thank you

I believe what your looking at is called Manzanita plant.
