Sex is not everything in a relationship by far, but it is important. If one has a high sex drive and the other doesn't, that can be a big problem and can cause divorce or affairs. In that situation then the couple needs to sit down and talk about how they can both be satisfied in their sex life.

in a way it does, because if you have been having sex your close to each other. it bring a certain level of intimacy that you two wouldn't have before. once you stop having sex, sure you still know each other but there's something there at makes you grown apart you begin to stop talking about things and you drift. Believe it or not once a couple has had sex and stops, they almost always end up apart. Sad to think sex is so powerful but, if you think about it during sex your sharing your entire being with the other person, if you stop doing that there's a reason and you two need to talk.

What causes divorce and separation is living with your spouse before you get married. That would be a recipe for divorce. Only live with your true love when you are married. Stop the separating problem of the United States.

No sex in a relationship can be really frustrating, trust me I know. I've been with my fiancee for five years altogether (3 years being engaged) I try and get her to understand more, but I don't know where to begin.

Lack of sex is due to inability to be in agreement. This will cause separation and at one point of time Adultery. That will cause divorce, anger, and mistrust, ECT.
God says,
(Col 3:19) Husbands, love [your] wives, and be not bitter against them.
(Eph 5:25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
(Col 3:18) Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN TO BE HIS SLAVE BUT TO FREELY GIVE OF YOUR SELF IN LOVE.
(1Pe 3:1) Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; A WIFE CAN LEAD HER HUSBAND TO GOD.
(Eph 5:28) So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
(Eph 5:24) Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.
The Husband is head of the household. The Head.
(1Pe 3:7) Likewise, ye husbands dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
(Mal 2:15) And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
(1Cr 7:34) There is difference [also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please [her] husband.
So lack of sex can cause a multitude of things to go wrong but basically it can end a relationship between a man and a woman if there is none.
Women know this that God Almighty pre programmed men to make babies for him.
Men put forth seed and woman is the planting ground. It can be pleasing or it can be unpleasing if you know what I mean. Just make the man sort of own the ground before he plants anything. Women, know the seed that is being planted before it is planted in your ground. Personality, ethnics, views, beliefs, worth’s, commitments, all the right things that a child could become.

It's a big cause...but, that's only IF the couple can't or won't work on the problem.
