Apart from lots of famous bands, I seem to get caught up with the royals quite a lot..

I've seen The Queen at close quarters a few times, shaken hands with the Duke of Edinburgh through my work and I guess my biggest claim to fame was stopping Princess Diana (she was then 'Lady' Diana) on a zebra crossing near to Buckingham Palace whilst she was courting the Prince of Wales... she was driving a red Mini Metro at the time (those old enough to remember will recall that's honestly what she drove!)

The irony is, I don't really care for the royals...

a famous person that i have met or seen is the new singer cassie. i am from the same town she is from and went to school with her brother. she attended a private school but we both participated in a program called colors of life which is a collective of theatrical acts suchs as singing, dancing, acting, etc.
i have also met lyfe jennings at howard's homecoming a couple of years ago before he was well known. had a cool little conversation about the songs i thought he should have performed because i had his cd. he laughed at me and told me next time he will do them just for me.

Well, I haven't actually met them but I did see...Bill Clinton (giving a speech), Shirley Manson (front row!) Dave Navarro when he was on tour with Jane's Addiction, Bill Mahr (during a taping of Politically Incorrect) David Bowie (from the nosebleed section, but so awesome and worth it), Tori Amos in concert too, Maya Angelou speaking at my university....the guys from Travis in concert, front row twice...that's a lot more than I thought, and there have to be more :-)

Not me personally but my mum and sister went to a Cliff Richard concert in Brighton once in the 80s and when it had finished, they waited for him in the car at the back of the venue. He eventually came out and got in his car, and they chased him all over Brighton until he got them to pull over. He went up to the window and told them he didn't like being followed, but then he saw my sister swooning over him and invited her out of the car. He walked across the road with his arm around her, having a little chat and then he signed an autograph for her. Any celeb has probably had a fair share of mad fans following them, but it was great of Cliff, no doubt knackered from the concert too, to take the time and be nice to them. It was certainly an evening they'll never forget!
