I don't know if pore strips are a good idea. Blackheads are dirt and oil clogging up your pore. If you pull the junk out of the pore, you wind up with a big, open space, just waiting to fill up again with dirt and oil. Each time this happens, your pore gets bigger and bigger.
I would recommend a cream with benzoyl peroxide. The Proactiv system is very popular. But I don't think that cleanser/scrub is your problem. You need something that will promote clearing of your pores, while discouraging future breakouts. So try a cream like Oxy or Clearasil. Put it on the problem areas at night before you go to bed. It will dry your pimples right out.

A tretinoin formula will help you most.
Acne treatment with Tretinoin:
Tretinoin is available in the form of topical gel, liquid or cream. It unclogs the pores and peels off the affected skin. Your doctor may prescribe it for use at night time everyday or at an interval of some days depending on your acne. Sometimes in the beginning the acne worsens with treatment by tretinoin. The skin may appear red, and increase in acne sores maybe found with scaling of the skin in the beginning. Slowly these side effects disappear and improvement is seen in three to six weeks.

Are you putting your hands on your face? Your hands contain natural oils and can cause the black heads. I notice that when I eat greasy foods or chocolates, that I get them more than when I don't. (People say that it's not true, but it is for me.) Tea tree oil is supposed to help. Also make sure to splash with cool water after washing to close the pores.

I am a teenager, but I like to use Proactiv. It really works. Although it may be a little expensive, it clears up if you use proactiv on a daily basis for a month or two. Everyting will be gone.
