If they do, perhaps they should see this:

I'm not a "Bush lover", but I do hate that people are using lies to ridicule him. It is GUARANTEED that if Snopes says it's false, it's false. If you're not familiar with Snopes, I suggest you get that way. It's a completely nonpartisan website.

Bearstirring has a point. However, there are people (yes, even people on this site) who take it as irrefutable TRUTH and use it to fuel their hatred.
Disliking the President's policies, yeah, I can see that. I just don't think a person should dislike the president based on things that AREN'T true.

Well I am a Bush supporter and snopes often dispells a lot of myths about GW and other politicians. However it was Lee Atwater that coined the political theory; say it, say it, say it again and eventually they will believe it even when its not true. Lee believed in this since his campaigns could never get fair attention from the media....sad to say he died years ago...great political mind.

Not certain what your point is - - - joke photos have been around for decades - - - no one is TARGETING your Bush they are just poking fun at a sitting President (literally). People have fun ridiculing Presidents - - - it is as old a trait as the days of 'His Rotundancy' John Adams. Who is to argue with a genius who lands America in TWO Major Wars as yet unfinnished?

It doesn't really matter which side the book was facing. It looked like he was almost giddy and quite safe within himself. He KNEW he wasn't a target that day.

There's another picture of him going around where he's looking through binoculars with the covers on.

I think this and the pic you mentioned are false.

Sometimes it truly amazes me what people actually believe.

I don't think it's true, because if it was then it would have most probably been prevented from getting out into the public...however, I don't doubt he would do something as stupid as that...
