I am a vocal performance major in college. And I can tell you from personal experience and from what I know as a singer: bathrooms have excellent acoustics! Bathrooms usually have many more hard surfaces than other rooms, and therefore your voice bounces off the surfaces, enhancing the sound. Plus, it's just fun!

Only in the bathroom, can anyone's voice sound beautiful and actually sound like a tune can be carried because of the structure of the room.

I haven't thought about that in a long time, but I am answering your question because my canaries and parakeets start singing in all their full glory everytime we turn on the kitchen faucet to wash dishes or to clean out their food and water cups. They just love the sound of running water, and maybe, for whatever reason it is, maybe we do too. And maybe we're just using the sound of the running water to cover the horrible sounds of our voices that couldn't "sing their way out of a wet paper bag", lolololol. God Bless you.

Well, when I'm relaxed and happy, I get the urge to sing. So I sing in the shower.

The acoustics. If you reach a good note, the sound waves are just the correct length for the walls, and create a sound that becomes louder and louder. And, they figure there's no one there to make them ashamed of acting on human nature.
