Beaches (that's are clean)
Cool Breeze (that doesn't smell like pee)
Night Clubs (that you can actually get into)
And best of all........
"Personal Space" when you are walking down the street!

Cali? Who says that? Cali to me means one of the drug capitals of the world in Colombia.
Well, state-wise...California is better--better fresh local food, more sports teams spread further around the state and more contrast between the cities than NYC and the rest in NY state. I mean Buffalo? Seriously? Syracuse? Albany?
I LOVE NYC but as a state with all its headaches, I'd take California any day.

New York is a world class place with people from all over the world. Cali is a fag state full of fruits nuts and flakes

Well, I love Cali because of the beautiful beaches, the great agricultural areas and the art culture. I've been to New York, though and I liked it a lot.

i would have to say cali because i can go all year wearing whatever but in New York it gets very cold in the winter time and i like to cold but i just love the summer activities so im going with cali.....but i still root for the Yankee's

Leaving out the big cities, then California wins hands down. The scenic beauty in the state is unmatched in the country, particularly compared to NY. OK, except for Lake George in the fall. On the down side, California has been inundated with illegals.

New York, hands down. I love the shopping, the food, the cultures, the people; besides California does not have Madison Square Garden or Rockefeller Center.
