Honey, I am sorry but can't make her leave. No matter what you do or say, but you can be ready when she finally makes her mind up to leave. Check if the local shelters, get phone numbers, and addresses, get her escape plan ready for her! Be her friend, not judge her, we aren't in her shoes. I have had several friends in this situation, and until they are ready to go, they aren't going to go. And the sad thing you can push her too hard, and she will get upset with you. Be a true friend, love her, and be there when she falls.....Tell her that if and when she gets ready to leave, you are there...24/7, try to remember you are dealing with a man with mental problems and he can be come violent, so if you go pick her up, don't go home, have a "safe" place for you both. I right now have a very mad husband after me know, he doesn't like the fact that I helped his wife escape from hell. I am not sure where she is right now, she's underground with her kids, but I know she's safe. There are programs and people who can help, find out how to contact them, so at a moments notice you know where to go and who to call. Of course, 911 is always available.
Thank you for being such a good friend, but don't push, she might go in the other direction. Please don't judge her, she's scared and sick from all the abuse, so she needs love and kindness...not "why don't you's"....Praying for all of you.....
God bless us all................

well i have been through this before with a someone very close to me. there were many times that she left her husband and still went back. there is really nothing you can do to convince her. just be a good friend listen when she needs someone to talk to give advice when she ask and try very hard not to criticize her. she will finally get the courage when things get to bad to handle or when she realizes things aren't going to change. let her know you are there for her no matter what and that you will help her is whatever decision she makes.

hope i helped
Sasha

She will leave when she is ready to. I am married and I feel like running away sometimes too. But, no one could convince me of leaving . When she is tired of being tired she will leave and she want worry about being scared because thats an excuse not a reason.

well their are lots of people with (mental problems) that lead healthy happy lives. if your Friend is wanting to leave her husband there are options available to her with out the fact that he may need help that she cant give. you are not stating any reasons or any of the situation for anyone to give you advice on. if you ask again and are more specific you will probable have alot more help than this answer. good luck

Your friend is scared of this man. Try to find her a safe place to stay, a woman's shelter (you can get in touch with them through the police) or a friend's house. Once she is there tell the police and they will do extra patrol. Tell her she is safe. Let her know that this guy can't find her.

Look in the phone book under shelters, or call a church to help. Get her out of there, and don't tell anyone where she is. Do not take her where her husband might look. Go to a motel, or whatever you come up with. If he has hurt her before call the police.

Please don't try to convince your friend to leave her husband. You only know her side of the story for one thing, and like a wise man (or woman) once said, " there are three sides to the story, yours, mine and the truth". You will only end up being the bad guy when they make up or whatever. Just support your friend, listen to her, but keep your opinions to yourself.

if she wants to leave him because of fear he will hurt her, then by all means, get out. If it is just for him having mental difficulties, then she should be ashamed of herself. I didn't even think of leaving my wife when she was almost paralysed in an accident, nor did she leave me when my father died and i sunk into a deep depression. That is the meaning of "...for better or for worse, in sickness and in health"

Strong people that are going to leave, leave. If she is that scared then she won't leave because she is convinced he will find her and punish her.
