Don't wear a tux- bad idea to try to top the interviewer... unless you will be wearing a tuxedo to work every day...
Rule of thumb- dress 1 step up from what they will expect for everyday (not including casual Friday's).
Men- dark slacks (not jeans), a long-sleeved white shirt, conservative tie, dress shoes, or at least not athletic shoes of any kind.
Women- dark slacks, hose (knee high is fine- they won't see above that), conservative low pumps, nice blouse, minimal jewelry, makeup, perfume. Do your hair conservatively- nothing extreem.
Women's option B- knee-length skirt, blouse that matches well, maybe a blazer that matches skirt. Dark hose, conservative pumps. Again, you'll want minimal jewelry (small earrings, 1 necklace, wedding ring, maybe a 2nd ring on the other hand, maybe a small bracelet- tennis style), makeup, perfume. Do your hair conservatively- nothing extreem.
Remember, it only takes 3 seconds to make a first impression, you'll want to get it right.

Who wears a tux to an interview? You can wear plenty of thing. It depends on the type of interview. U can always do the traditional suit. Or you can do something a little bit more modern and hip. wear a nice pair of jeans the right shirt and the right dress shoes and you will be set.

A tux would not be appropriate for a job interview. What should be worn depends on the job you are applying for. A nice suit would always be a good choice.

OMG- please do not ever wear a tux to an interview again! Overdoing it like that is worse, in my opinion, that showing up in holey jeans and a ragged t-shirt! You can go as far as wearing a suit if it is for an executive position, but for other jobs you could wear khakis and a nice button down shirt (and a tie if you want).

For most job interviews a tux would be inappropriate. A nice dark suit, white shirt and tie would be appropriate.

Well unless I was going to marry the interviewer I wouldn't wear a tux. A suit without a jacket yes. It just depends on where your interviewing. Some times you can get away with casual.

a tux? I hope you mean a suit... a tuxedo, might be a little too formal for a job interview.

Who wears a tuxedo to an interview? You should wear a suit or at least dress pants, a dress shirt and a tie. You need to look decent.

I used to wear a Tarzan costume but as I've been turned down for the last 193 jobs I've decided to switch to a Batman outfit.
I'll keep you informed.
