Obviously her family has helped make her like she is if they allow her to mooch on them at her age.

Explain to her how you feel, and offer to help her do a resume and look for a job. Talk about the fun things she could do if she had a job and more money, about the interesting people she could meet, and so on. If she doesn't make an attempt to change you may want to consider distancing yourself a little and explaining you are busy with earning a living and taking care of things. It is rather tough for an adult to really be friends with a child.

She's not living with/mooching off you, so why do you need to get involved in her and her family's business? If she takes it the wrong way, it will cause drama and you could lose a friend. If what she's doing is affecting you, then you can step in and give her some tough love.

if she were a guy, you would have to kick him in the nuts and slap him while he's down,... but she's not.

Best thing to do, is just let her have her bratty little tantrums, its her parents fault for spoiling her. The only way for her to learn the hard lessons of life in the real world is by the Hard Way. Either she will wise up or do more stupid things and hurt the ones who lover her, more.
She will grow up eventually, give her time - even if you have to stretch your own patience.
But don't let her use you - brats are really good at getting things done, their way.

Good Luck
& Bless you for being her friend!
Because you do care.

Your friend is a moocher. Obviously, the people around her have been letting her get away with it for WAY too long! Cut her off, now and fast! Make her stand on her own two feet. Stop helping her, feeding her, giving her money, and making her dependent. Throw her out of the nest. Tough love.

at 23 she should be grown up but it sounds like she has had too many friends in her life the best thing they can do for her is stop giving her everything where is her family if no family try to get her in a program she may have a mental problem or she may be a total bum

Tread with extreme care, a girl like that is likely to take great offence to scowling. Say it gently, perhaps with a few more like-opinionated-friends present. This girl needs to wake up to the world, before she gets a rude awakening later on in life.

i feel what you are saying. i have a friend like that only i have to deal with her on a regular basis cause she i my roommate. it is hard to tell her to do things that she should already know how to do but you just have to. just look her in her face and tell her you mean well, and you love her but she has to grow up and be a woman. she is not a kid anymore and she needs to stop acting like that. her family is not always gonna be around to help her when she needs it.

they seem to be a sprint infantile they ought to realize that sixteen year old kiss, and that they at the instant are not 11 anymore. (howdy im twelve, and that i do no longer circulate, ew ew!) in line with possibility, you need to objective kissing him away out of your pals. yet next time they say, "ew" basically tell them whats so incorrect? have been sixteen, have been going out, its what we do. You jealous? reason if your going to maintain on doing this, you have seriosly have been given a situation.
