Impossible to tell without knowing where you live and more info.

Here in NYC that would be a bargain. Most of the surrounding areas as well

Also depends are we talking all day every day? Or just once in a while.....

For a night out kinda thing here I would pay 10-20$ an hour. More if I gave less notice....i.e. Last minute I would pay closer to 20.

Amanda C. you're actually not severe. Are you confident you like a 13-12 months previous without journey observing your little ones. i think of I did a sprint babysitting at 13 yet for extremely short sessions of time. I somewhat have a preparation for you. Have her come over and spend it sluggish with your little ones while you're residing house. stay interior the historic past and word how she interacts with your little ones. that still will inform you many approximately her adulthood point. in case you like the way she interacts with your little ones and your little ones like her besides then it may artwork out for short sessions of time. so some distance as pay is going....for 2 little ones i think of $5- 7 funds an hour is honest. that's a lot of duty.

I would like to help you but I don't have any idea about the average compensation which most people in your place would like to pay for a babysitter? Bottom line is you must have to ask him if the amount you pay is acceptable for him. Sometimes, it is not how small or large the money you give in return for his services, but as long as he agrees for it then there should be no more questions about it. I also suggest you "google" for a site that surveys wages for babysitters. Goodluck and take care!

It sounds low to me - I teach in a high school and the girls I have in class tell me they normally make $30 to $40 for babystting from 6:00 to 11:00. However, if he has full access to the refigerator that can count for something ;-).

Sounds good to me. I watch my sister's kids 10, twins age 5, and an 11 moth old baby. and get paid like half of that....

that's good... that's about the same as an adult would get,, if i was to open my own family day care here in Australia i would only get 4 an hour per/child and that's professional care with all the educational extras.

That's about average for family members. However, if he goes the extra mile to clean up the house or give the kids baths and does a good job, tip him a little more every once in awhile to let him know he's appreciated.

I guess if your kids safety and well being is worth $5 you're paying him correctly

if your kids are hard to handle and need a lot of care, then you should give at least 6.50 or 7. if not, then thats just fine what your giving him right now.
