Using wood/MDF. What items are needed, etc?

DO NOT use MDF...............any oops with moisture and it is ruined!

You can buy some adjustable shelf brackets at a lumber store. You may have to cut them to length with a hacksaw. you will need four of them, one for each corner. You screw them to the sides with the proper length screws, usually about 5/8"-3/4" long. Install the shelf clips at the desired height. Then cut your shelves to fit in between the brackets.That's all there is to it.

Go to your local woodworkers store (look up woodworking in the yellow pages) you need the wood, a saw, and then they make a jig for drilling the shelf pin holes...they make either a 32mm or 1/4" sizing. It comes with the drill bit you need, ussually, and then you'd need the shelf pins to put in the holes you drill- you need 4 per shelf
