it's "leave the kids alone" and "leave us kids alone". "leave our kids alone" would be a plea from the parents, would that really make sense in the context of the lyrics? ah, those were the days. i had a friend who lived next to the principle of our school and we always made a great point of playing that song at full volume at two in the morning...
