every single tattoo artist you consult will have a different price.

what i would suggest is that you find friends or family who already have tattoos and find out where they get them done and if the quality of business is reputable

I agree with first answer - it's all about who does your tat, make sure you get someone recommended.
Cost that size should be about £80-£120 UK and take about an hours work, depending on the complexity of the design.
Make sure you don't drink alcohol the night before as it will thin your blood and make the whole experience freaky in a bad way. To stop from feelings of diziness and quesiness, have a good meal before going in. Stop looking at people on TV getting them done if it freaks you out because yes it does hurt, it's bound to really isn't it, but it's worth it if you get the tat you want, so go for it, make your mark!

As far as pain, it depends where you get the tattoo. I have six tattoos and the ones that hurt the most were the ankle and foot...also across my spine on the low of my back. Where there is more muscle, it would hurt less. As far as cost is concerned, it depends on the artist. They all charge differently depending on how good they are and how long they have been tattooing. The largest one I have is on my low back and it took about an hour and fifteen minutes and it cost $160.00. Be sure to go to someone who comes highly recommended to you and be sure to look at his/her work before getting your tattoo. Good luck and enjoy! They are very addicting...=)

Mine definitely hurt, but the pain wears off pretty quickly. The arm hurts quite a bit. I would definitely recommend giving this more thought, especially if you're getting one that large. And be sure to go to more than one place until you feel completely comfortable with the artist, no matter what the difference in price.

Every shop has different pricing. Next time you see a tattoo you like on someone, ask them where they got it done. One of mine was done poorly and I regret that but a cover up would have to be quite large and dark. Wear a fake one for a couple of weeks to see if you get tired of it or if it is unprofessional at your job. Even in today's modern society, tattoos can prevent you from getting certain jobs.

A tattoo only hurts depending on what part of your body you are going to put it on. i have three, chest and both legs. The inner part of my calf hurt more because there is more muscle there.
Overall, I don't think they hurt that bad. My husband is a big sissy and he has three as well. One on his back upper shoulder, on his inner arm (elbow to wrist) and one on his lower leg as well. As for prices, most artists charge by the hour now a days. So it just depends on where you go really.
Good Luck.

it depends on where you get it on your body. i have four tattoos. i have both feet, my right hip, and my left wrist done. my feet were painful, my hip went numb after a while and didn't hurt at all, and my wrist was mediocre. it all depends on your personal pain tolerance.

to me, a tattoo feels like getting pinched with fingernails. so to test it out: in the area you're getting your tattoo, pinch tiny bits of skin with your fingernails. if you can stand that, you'll be ok...and just remember, whatever you get on your body will be there forever (unless you get it laser-removed), so choose wisely, i know i did. :)

Depends on where you get a tattoo. For me it stings the first 5 minutes. Then it goes numb. Just make sure you can deal w/ the tattoo for the rest of your life.....
