The voting system we have is a JOKE! It will always come down to two people for president and that is not fair to the American people. Political parties are keeping this country from greatness by not allowing real people into office. We are forced into getting politicans who don't even know what it is like to really make a living in this country as most have had everything handed down to them. The media and political parties are in cahoots and that is what they want. They do not want someone who thinks outside the box to become President as that would ruin a lot of careers as many politicans would be exposed for the corrupt, greedy people they are. Of course, not all politicans are bad but the good ones get overshadowed by the rich, simple minded ones that only have the parties best interests in mind. Even the good ones are slaves to whichever party or business sponsored them. We need to start voting real people into office or things will never change for the better. Anyone agree?

The rest of the world is mocking our leadership and us for voting them in! Is anyone with me?

My point is none of the people from the other parties have a fair chance at office.

I really don't care WHO is is office. I just don't think it is fair to us that EVERY candidate we see has some sort of sponsor therby making them a slave to that sponsor. If a drug company gives a candidate money to run for office and he gets elected, do you think he will vote AGAINST a bill that would lower drug costs? If you do you are mistaken.

No one forces you to vote.

If you do not like the choices then I suggest you don't vote.

There ARE other parties besides the Republicans and Democrats.

Libertarian, for instance.

Government and elections are about giving someone other than yourself the job of taking care of things that you don't have time or resources to take care of.

Positions in government usually pay really well and involve power over other people -- you and I for instance that put them in power.

If you don't like the people in power, you have your opportunity to vote them out. But just because you vote, does not mean your guy necessarily wins.

I think there is a large section of America that needs to stop acting like babies because things don't go their way.

The world is not your crib.

(And who says because you make a lot of money, that you are not "real" people)

I do agree however the simple minded really good politicians are very few, and don't speak up. I'm a conservative republican. Basically, my party has NO ONE to speak for it, except for women now. Which is quite surprising in itself, but seeing that women were given their right to even VOTE in this country by republicans I guess it's not all that surprising.

We are being more than taken advantage of from illegal aliens and communists who want to take hard working money from hard working people to give it free to others who didn't even deserve or earn it. I'm excluding people with mental illness and senior citizens.

Yes, espeically our voting system is a joke. I'm more than thrilled that kerry LOST. But even more so, disappointed that no one from the republican party had ran. Bush is no conservative and has yet to do anything good other than finally doing something about immigration YEARS later in his presidency.

the gas prices are absolutely rediculous and letting those crazy whacked out environmentalists get their way is pathetic. Alaska is never going to be anything but a huge ice cube and I can really care less if it gets all melted and ruined for oil, which is needed to get myself TO WORK.

I think you need to chill out for a minute, although it is currently dominated by 2 parties, candidates can run independantly for president just as joe lieberman is currently doing for senate, so take a chill pill man, people just don't want to run without the financial baking of a party

ross perot, in his independant bid, was the latest serious run. people need to get together on a viable 3rd party to make any changes.

The two party system forces you to choose the lesser of two evils. This is the WORST thing behind electoral fraud, we need instant runoff voting
