Sweating, increased heart rate, rapid breathing, difficulty controling the tone or tenor of the voice, difficulty thinking clearly . . . all physical reactions to stressors . . . think of some of things you might experience when you see the police cruiser's high beams come on in the rear view mirror. You might be looking for physical signs of endemic stress, like stress at work or from a relationship. Those signs could be fatigue and/or difficulty sleeping, rapid, unexplained weight gain or loss, loss of appetite or over-eating, hair loss or whitening of hair in extreme cases . . . you can probably google this and get a good list of symptoms.

Sleepless nights, unable to focus on anything,sudden rage at
petty things, get unset easily, can handle daily living, can hang onto a job, not caring about anything, binge eatting or not eatting
at all, loss of appetite, crying jags for no reason.
