I have a bill thats been in the family for over about 30 yrs, that has been passed on to me, it's a $100 Confederate Treasury note, I took it to the bank, he thinks it's real but has no knowledge of old notes, I have no clue where to take it, I'm in a really small country town in TN and they don't have any place to get it appraised.
He wanted to copy it, but he said he'd be afraid of damaging it.

I guess I should have added a lil' info.
It's a $100 bank note issued from the state of GA, I said it has been in the family over 30 yrs, the date it was issued is April 6th 1864, it says registered and has a No. on it I'm guessing some type of serial number.
I've looked on Ebay, all they have are copies not a real bill.

TY tman, I'll check that link on :)

I've posted below a link to a site which has some for sale so that you can compare the one you have with the ones shown and get an idea of it's worth. They are pictured on this site for comparison. Some are of quite value !

You could check on ebay and see what similar items are going for. Confederate money used to be totally worthless but there are probably some collectors out there.

I dont know if 30 years is old enough to be worth anything substantial. if it were a hundred years old then it would be a different story. Just try some other banks...

depnds on the year of the note. But if you take it to a antigue shop they will be able to contact the approriate people to bid.

I would guess depending on condition

$250.00-2,000.00
