Did anyone ever see that anime that was on Cartoon Network around the mid-90s about this, like, family of superheroes that could fly and had little visors shaped like hawk beak? I was really young then, and I don't remember much except the end of the series when some scientist or something created this plant that ate young women, then one of the sisters from the family tried to track down their source by wearing this suit that made her involnuerable to the digestive juices of the plants, then she was eaten, and the heroes had to burn all the plants, including the one carrying their sister. Any help would totally rock! Thanx!

This sounds like Battle of the Planets or G-Force. Both are the same show; the Japanese title is Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (translated into English, of course).

Battle of the Planets was the English dub of the show running during the late 70s originally. The show was re-dubbed over a decade later and re-named G-Force. The latter was probably what you watched on Cartoon Network in the mid-90s as I too remember the show being on CN around that time.

I could be wrong, however. I don't recall a storyline like the one you described. Then again, I haven't seen the series in its entirety. But the description of the visors led me to believe that it could be G-Force.

I know you're talking about Battle of the Planets...I've seen a set of DVD's for that show in Best Buy a little while ago, but I can't remember that particular plot because I'd watched the series back in the '70's and remember so little about it! But definitely check out Best Buy's website and do a search for the Battle of the Planets 25th Anniversary DVD set.

Gatchaman, Battle of the Planets, G-Force, it sounds right to me . . . I am pretty sure they are all out on DVD now too.
