Ok I have a friend, lets call her Amy. I have another friend lets call her, Mary. {not actual names.}
So this morning Amy calls me and she's all, "GUESS WHAT MARY IS CUTTING HERSELF OVER TOM {not real name}! BUT DON'T TELL ANYONE SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW I KNOW."
So apparently this is what happened Amy set up a teen advice e-mail and then convinced Mary to e-mail her without telling Mary she was the one runnning it. Mary e-mails the advice thing talking about a guy she likes won't notice her. So then Amy thought it would be funny if she made it into something big. So she called me and told me that Mary was cutting. I call Mary and tell her out of pure concern for her. To make a long story short Amy thought it would be funny to call everyone and tell them that Mary was a cutter. Mary furious and embaressed, has not forgiven her. So Amy calls me crying begging me to be her friend again. So should I forgive her? Because I'm really confused.

I really don't think I should forgive her. Because she could start something about me and she really hurt my best friend. But Amy was one of my best friends before this happened too. I think it's just way too much drama for me thirteen for only three days to handle.

I was very concerned for Mary and that's why I called her when Amy told me not to. I know Mary is not doing this because she wore a tanktop to my birthday three days ago and when we spend the night together she wears really short pajama shorts. And Amy admitted to lying. She called crying and saying that she thought it would be a funny JOKE to start all this.

Whatever you do, watch your back with this one...she's really devious, conniving and very likely not trustworthy ever again. Can you imagine how vindictive she could be if you pi@@ed off? Sounds like its one of those 10 ft pole friendships.

when you say cutting I take it you mean: self abuse, physically cutting her body. I think if you are a best Friend then you should probably be more concerned for your Friend that is hurting herself over a guy . not a Friend that has a big mouth and cant be trusted .she will be there next week but if your friend is doing bodily harm to herself she has now been pushed a lot further into her depression than just a guy not noticing her, now she must feel that anyone might know what she is doing and how she is dealing with it . get her to talk it over with you and if its to much for you to handle then have a sit down and talk with her and her folks she might need a little guidance from a professional.
......If Its not a case of physical cutting and just a case of her being depressed about this guy then , you should deal with the big mouth first I wouldn't cut all ties with her everyone makes mistakes some people need to learn from them though , just get on her case and tell her that even though she hurt your friend that its her reputation that is taking a beating , because now everybody can see what a simply mean piece of work she can be .

Forgive her if you can. Try your best to. From personal experience, whenever I have forgiven someone who has done a lot wrong towards me, it makes me feel really good inside. In the future, watch out, and don't stay to close to Amy... you never know what she might do you YOU.
