My daughter is 7 months old and has her own passport, do I need her fathers permission to take her out of the country?

That depends on your state's laws and/or any custody agreement you have with him.

What country? You mean the USA? I think you can freely travel with her, of course, unless there is some court order against all that. Why would you not tell her father? It seems pretty dodgy the way you worded this question like you plan to spirit the kid away to an un-extraditable country.

My daughters are 6, 10, & 14 yrs old and when they left Texas, my wife had to obtain a notarized copy of permission from me.

if he has custody of her then yes. If there is not any court order custody then no. My cousin has to get permission from a judge to take his kid out of the state. You should check the law.

if you are divorced, yes.. if you are married, yes. basically, other than common courtesy, it could be the law, so try to keep it in the law and do it. it'll save you problems later.
