Depends on how you define it. I was a hippie back in the 60s when people really CARED about peace and creating a culture that ran counter to corporate America. Nowadays people seem to define it as nothing but a big sex and drugs and rock-and-roll orgy -- none of which I was ever into. (I didn't do drugs, was not a "free-love" person, preferred folk music to rock.) Yes, I did have long hair, beads, and bellbottoms, but that was only a costume. The real hippieness was INSIDE -- a quest for peace, non-violence, humanhood and spiritual enlightenment. I'm still on that path -- so am I still a hippie? You decide.

I grew up in the 60's, was a hippie then and will always be a hippie by heart, however you can't really tell by looking at me anymore.
What I do all day is work at my clerical job and then on my days off I work at home and have fun.

I'm not a "hippie," but some people might say I'm close. What do I do all day? Generally drift from one friend's couch to another, smoking weed and playing hacky sack as I go.

I'm an aging hippie -- back in the day:
I went to concerts -lots of concerts- a few of the ones were Rod Stewart & The Faces (got backstage after that one) Alice Cooper (Welcome to my Nightmare Tour) 3X's, Jefferson Starship, Leslie West, Ten Years After, Peter Frampton,The Who, The Grateful Dead,Metallica, Guns n' Roses and a bunch of others. Years ago they didn't search you like now. I got high for concerts and other special events. LSD was cheap and much better than what they sell now. I wore long straggly bell bottom jeans and hats (I loved floppy hats) lots of beads and everybody was nice to each other. I'm sorry I never went to any of the protests; I was scared because the police were so nasty then. It was different then; people were different. That's really all I can say.
