instruction and example.
instruction is teaching, telling, persuading someone to act in a certain way.
example is showing them what we want them to do, or doing it ourselves and letting them learn through us.
instruction is what everyone in yahoo answers uses, and example is what (hopefully) your parents and good friends use.
