For the safety of you and your child, you should not do anything that will deplete your body's fluids, like using a laxative. It is always safest to wait until baby begins to be born on its own.

Hmmm a suppository goes into your anus & a baby comes out of your vagina...so do you really think that having a bowel movement would trigger labor ??!! LOL

Do not try castor oil, it can cause the baby to have a bowl movement in utero! Very dangerous stuff! It was used back in the old days but is not recommended!! My babies health would be a heck of a lot more important than triggering labor

First off if you are not full term do not try anything!!!! Some old wives tales are to take a spoon full of caster oil, warm water enema (this worked for my girlfriend), and for me I ate fried tacos every time just before I went into labor (weird I know but that is how it worked out). Also you need to get up and get moving, walking helps. Lots of luck!

It could help, but how far along are you? Walking in sand or up & down stairs may help. Other gals used to take castor oil in the old days!

I haven't heard if that does. But I know for a fact that walking up stairs and hot baths will. But be careful with the bath because you may not feel your water brake.
