Help!!! My kids are driving me mad?
I have three kids. 4 year old girl, 7 year old boy, 8 year old girl. They constantly run around braking things and hitting each other. I have tried talking with them, counsuling, and time outs. Nothing works! Their father lives 9 hours away. I have 4 kids and they were wild too. They are JUST KIDS. Do not put things out that they can break. Child proof your house a bit.
They know they can wear you down because you are the only parent with them. Even though it will not be easy - be MORE firm in your discipline - without hitting them if you can help it. I am not against spanking kids when they need it - just not a lot.
This may sound dumb BUT
1. Get a chart with their names on it.
2. Give them a + when they behave and a - when they don't....OR assign points for good and bad behavior.
3. If they reach their goal for the week give them a small treat.
Do not pit one child against the other by giving treats to the highest score. That will cause more fights.
Let them help with the rules of this GAME.

TRY A QUICK SMACK ON THE BUTT , AND TELL THEM THERE'S MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM My kids are grown and weren't abused , but they did get a smack if they misbehaved and they got the corner. Heck with time out and talking to . Bring back the old ways of discipline .
