Why do so many hispanic people like the revolutionary "Che"?

i live in a 80% hispanic community and they all like "Che"! mexicans, cubans, puerto ricans, columbians, etc.! i know he was from Argentina! so why does everybody like him! he was a killer and a communist! i dont have a problem with people liking him, i just want to know why!?

they want a hero.

problem is, che guevara used to beat hispanics in the fields that he worked.

so much for knowledge.

Maybe because they can't find any good role models for heroes so they have to settle for what they can get.
