Well, the new Corvette does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, smoking the Viper, but in a well-tuned viper versus a well-tuned corvette competition the viper would win.
Henessey's vipers have over 1,000 hp.
The corvette also has better handling.

the dodge viper has a v10 with around 500+hp and 500+tq depending on the year, im not sure about the corvette, not a big fan, but it has a v8, they both have good and bad sides, the viper would win in the quarter mile and 0-60 times not sure about windy roads, but the viper is wider, so I am guessing the viper would be. the newer vipers top speed is over 200mph, the vette i know isnt, might be around 180, not sure.

This one depends on a lot of factors. The first one is driver. This is probably the biggest factor, based on everything being equal, driver, traction, temp, humidity, track condition etc... It's really hard to tell. the fastest posting I've seen from a reputable source puts a showroom stock 06 Z06 corvette at 12.23@115 in the 1/4. Here is an exact comparison I just found
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=31&article_id=2904&page_number=5
just for comparison here is a listing from road and track listing specs from several top end cars http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/download/WorldSuperpowersDataSpecs.pdf looks to me based on this the corvette Z06 would be faster. I hope this helps.

Much as I'm a Mopar fan, it's absolutely true and proven in many road tests (including a very memorable one featured in "Road & Track" a few months back) that the 2007 Corvette Z06 is faster than Dodge's current top-of-the-line Viper.
Step up to the plate, Dodge!

2006 Dodge Viper
Horsepower: 510 hp
Torque: 535 lbs
Weight: 3380 lbs
0-60: 3.9
1/4 mile: 11.7
2006 Corvette Z06
Horsepower: 505 hp
Torque: 470 lbs
Weight: 3132 lbs
0-60: 3.5
1/4 mile: 11.5
The 1/4 mile times are very close. If both cars were stock, then it would all depend on the experience of the driver and consistency.
Hope this helps.

I think a viper could beat the vette to the gas pump.

vette is more refined thru twisty roads and auto-x, but probably drag racing the viper would be better in a straight line.
