Make sure to ask your parents. I would say if you have good skin don't worry about face makeup. Using makeup like foundation will be overkill and possibly cause acne and bad skin. Did for me, i started young and was too cheap to buy the good stuff. But powder is ok to smooth out your skin. Try a bit of blush, not too loud or bright. Maybe some lipgloss and light eyeshadow, natural colors. Work your way up to brown mascara and/or eyeliner. But thats as far as you should go at such a young age. Keep it simple, keep it natural, and keep it classy. Ask a parent or sales person for help finding shades that will look good on you.

well since ur only goign to 6 grade u should only use lipgloss and thats pretty much it coz ur skin is still young and ur skin is growing so if u start putting too much makeup ur skin will be ruined and as u go to 7 grade u can wear mascra and when u go to 8 th grade u can wear eyeshadow and when u go to 9 th grade u can wear eyeliner and u shouldnt use foundation until ur in 10 grade or until ur 16 beacuse if u use makeup before 16 u will ruin ur young skin so just put a lil bit and every yer take lil step by putting a lil bit more like one thing t time that way ur skin will get use to it and well u dont really need makeup unless bad skin and i dont know if u have bad skin but if u dont then dont use any foundation coz foundation is just covering up stuuf u dont want to show like pimples and blackheads or scars

I think you're a little young, but if you really want to, stick to the natural look. Looking like your trying too hard is a turn-off. Don't use foundation (wear sunscreen, take care of your skin, and drink lots of water so you won't need to). Try loose powder for a little coverage and to stop shine. Wear a light, neutral shadow and very thin liner, just a little to make your lashes appear thicker and define your eyes. You can also try using a little shadow blended into your lashine instead of liner. Leave the thick, black liner for when you're going out. Wear a little mascara to open your eye, but don't put 50 coats on and don't put a ton on the bottom (or not any at all). DON'T match your make-up to your clothes. It's tacky, and wearing bright purple shadow isn't usually a good idea. NYC has great, cheap products that are light and won't make you look like a hooker. Put on a little lipgloss, and you're set. Visit maybellene.com, sephora.com, and other cosmetic company websites for more tips.

I'm 19 and I still don't wear much more than lipgloss and eye shadow. And in 6th grade I think thats enough. Since make up dries out your skin if your gonna do the foundation thing make sure you get the right brand for your skin type or you'll be looking ugly and old by 8th grade

ok well hi im Danielle even though it says Daniella. My school says that we cant wear makeup until 7th grade and so as soon as school got out i wore makeup. I started by wearing everything. i put on oundation first then blush. then i do eyeliner and then mascara and then curl my eyelashes and last but not least lip gloss that make me look pretty lol. So ask your mother and she should help you. by the way im going into 7th grade so ive been wearing makeup for about 3 months

6th grade - huh
you probably dont wanna listen to a 20 year old guy buy if you was my daughter (maybe if I was older then)
then I would say at the moment lip gloss, then at 15/16 you can move onto thee old' mascara and eye shadow but even then maybe no to those, see how your mother would feel. Otherwise in the probable absence of your Mother, which sadly not everyone would have their Mother still with them, just stick to some Lip Gloss
I think lip gloss - anyway don't listen to me I am just a 20 year old IT student.
good luck, soon to be 6th grader Girl.

I am 15 now, but i started wearing makeup in 7th grade. I never wore much. As long as you get some help in learning how much is too much, you can start whenever you want

My cuz is in the 6th grade and she wears it. Its fine as long as you don't wear a lot or dark makeup. No eye make-up.

6th grade i think i used clear lipgloss. 8th grade i started using eyeliner... 10th grade (now) started using foundation and powder and some blush on special events.
no need to hurry .. i went slowly and did it as i felt i should. There is no right age. But when your younger your skin is prettier because there arnt pimples and stuff like that. If your skin already looks natural then only use lipgloss.
