How can alone be worse then what he is putting you thru? If you've dated men before obviously there is a group of men that find you attractive, so you wouldnt be alone for long. He is disrespecting you and you are letting him.

There is no reason on Gods earth why anyone should stay in a relationship like this. You dont need too. If hes an immigrant and violated our domestic violence laws, he could be sent back home. You are on the verge of self destruction over this and no guy is worth that. You have talked yourself into believing you cant leave but really you can. There are many groups out there that will help you make the move but you have to take the first step. You can get restraining orders against this guy if you feel threatened. This guy doesnt deserve someone like you and he will realize that after its too late but its his own fault, so leave and dont look back. Dump this guy totally before its too late. Good luck

Been there - done that! Minus the immigration part. You're right - it's very, very hard! Everybody can just say 'get out' , 'leave', etc., but when in an abusive relationship it's very difficult. My ex had spent many a night in jail for domestic abuse, violation of restraining order, etc and I still stayed with him. I felt like such a loser!! My family and close friends gave me an ultimatum. Leave him or lose us. I had to do what was best for our daughter - at the time I wasn't even thinking about me! I got out ... finally ... after 7 yrs of torture. The best thing I ever did - certainly NOT the easiest. I am now happily married with a happy family. I look back on those days with horror - wondering how I ever survived as I did. But, a few years of therapy, the love of wonderful friends and family I made it ... I'm a much better person for it and I don't blame myself at all for what happened. There is a rainbow thru all of what you're going thru. You need to trust in yourself and when you're ready - you will leave. Hopefully you do before you 'can't'. Good luck, sweetie.

Get drunk and think of all things he's done to you. The alcohol should help you build up courage. Write down everything. Think some more, drink some more, write some more, and when you've written down everything he's done to you, put your name, his name, and your address on it then mail the list to the local police. Write down why you can't leave him too if you want. I'm sure he's done something (that you haven't mentioned) that will get him in jail, at least for a little while. The time away from him will help you clear your head. He's probably verbally abused you so much that you feel you are nothing and you can't get rid of him because you desperatly are waiting for his affection.

You wont be alone forever. You deserve someone as good as you, really you do. Stop doing this to yourself.

good luck.

There are worse things than being alone and having to scrimp and cut costs on things. You're living one of them.

You don't deserve the treatment you are getting. There is no reason for him to act that way. You know this, and you are having trouble leaving. Leaving is difficult, but so much nicer than being killed by the maniac.

It is hard to start over. It is a challenge to get through each day. But each day is your own to make your own decisions and not worry about abuse. You will experience ups and downs, but the ups outnumber the downs. You get to build your own life and meet they type of people who will treat you right.

You really should get out.

Im sure you have friends. Probably neglected friends because this guy sounds like one who like ot take away your support system. which leaves him only. But i suggest you find your friends and break up with him. It will be hard but can you honestly say he cares for you? No way. In the heat of the moment is when you see whether someone loves you or not if he hits you and does crap like tha he doesnt care for you and you need to move on.

I would rather be alone then unhappy.Life is to short to be in a relationship where you are not happy and being abused. When did you lose your self-esteem.That's the problem you lost yourself and really need to find you again. You can't love someone else if you don't love yourself.Pick yourself up and do what is necessary to get back on tract.

don't be afraid. I am sure you are a lot stronger than you think. You will be able to make it. NO ONE deserves to be abused. You can stop it and you will be a lot happier in the long run. You won't be alone, you will be surprised how many friends that have pulled away will come back to you once you lose the abuser. Speaking from experience.

Just do it. This "relationship" is degrading and self-destructive. You have to think a little more of yourself than you do-------where's your pride? No one deserves to be treated like that. Do you have family you can stay with or friends who will help you make the transition? There is nothing to be afraid of about being alone. BE AFRAID TO STAY IN THIS HURTFUL RELATIONSHIP.
BE AFRAID FOR YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY. DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET OUT NOW. JUST DO IT!!!

This is a serious medical problem. You apparently were born without a backbone. Will your medical coverage pay to have one transplanted? Or, at least pay to have your face reshaped into punching bag? Women alway whine about men mistreating them. With you, it's difficult to understand why he wouldn't treat you as a door mat. You seem eager to have the guy wipe his feet on you. Remember, we are treated only as badly as we allow. Get some pride.
