No matter what age it hurts. They gotta do it real quick. The piercer cleans your mouth with Listerine and tells you to spit. Then he/she tells you to stick your tongue out and they dry your tongue and and takes this instrument that looks almost like clamps and marks where your jewelry will be then he takes this sharp thick needle and quickly stick it in your tongue and but a bar-bell on it to keep the hole open.
Your tongue will swell and you will slobber a lot and will need aspirin and ice and you won't be able to eat well or talk right for a couple of weeks. But everyone is different and handles piercings in different ways.
If you don't keep it clean and wash your mouth out with Listerine or something close to it then you could get a nasty keloid, or an even nastier yellow infection.
But your only 11 years old and don't need a tongue ring at all. Go outside and play, take up a sport.

Yes it does hurt and a 11 year old shouldnt get that peirced you will looking like a slut. Dont do it unless thats the image you want.

Yes, it does with the chance of infection as well. My niece just had hers done a month ago. She is 14. She cried and her tongue swelled for over a week. She said if she had to do it again "NO WAY". I warned her and she didn't listen. But she will always remember to at least heed the advise she was given.

It hurts no matter how old you are! But the responsibility of taking care of it after you have it done may be too much for an 11 year old.

Sweetie it hurts regardless of your age.your piercing your tounge it's not going to feel good!

U don't' need ur tongue pierced yet .at least waite a couple of years. but really like ur going to listen ur 11 right ..if u do keep it really clean so it won't get infected

It seems to me that having a piece of metal in your body while its still growing is a bad idea.
Wait till you're done growing, at least.

ahh sweetie...i am 15...i thought about getting it pierced...and everyone told me I WAS TO YOUNG...if i'm not old enough you arent either....it will hurt like no other.....my friends all got it done and they all cried and now they all took them out cuz they are lame ahah...plus you wont get a good reputation

dont ur 11 if u get ur toung periced u will have perverts all over u trust me and dont do it!!!
