I totally understand where you are coming from. My best friend tends to only bring home the control freaks and because I know that she is a good person I know that she deserves so much more. The urge to grab her and say "WAKE UP!! HE IS NOT THE ONE" is an urge that I had to pull back from. The reason is because women tend to hold onto things that everyone else thinks they should let go of. By telling her that she needed to leave and that she deserved better only pushed her further into his arms and farther away from me. She eventually moved to another state and married him and that is when I decided I was done telling her what I think. When I did she chose to divorce him and leave. So why did I tell you this? To make you see that you cannot do anything no matter how much you care and how much you know that he is not right. Dont push her to hard and hopefully she will see it for herself and when she does it will mean more to her.

First of all, can she financially manage on her own or with you or a friend's help. That I think is why she is scared to leave. Solve that problem and then you can seriously figure what is the best move.
I mean, if she still loves the guy, talk to him about being too controlling.

You cant really get anyone to do anything. But you can assist her in talking with her and telling her your side of the story and what you see. But in the end she is going to make her own decision. I suggest you just be there for her and let her know that you want the best for her and most importantly you want her to be happy. Just try it ask her if she is happy. Hope this helps.

u dont, she has to want to do it, there is nothing u can do or say that will make her do it, she has to be so tired of it that she leaves, i mean she needs to know that she is an adult and she shouldnt have to deal with control from anyone. she shoudl know she needs to do what she thinks is best for her and her own life. without being told what to do.. last time i checked once u r grown u make ur own choices n decisions in life and no one should TELL u what to do where to go who u see.

First of all talk with her and tell her that there are people who can help her. If she chooses not to take your advice tell your mother or her mother or a close friend who both of you can trust, this would help if they are a psychologist but don't butt in too much or she may get angry and put the blame on you.

I don't want you to be labeled a home-breaker.
If your friend is being abused, she needs help. The couple may need a marriage counselor. Breaking away should not be the first option to a problematic marriage. Things could be worked out.
I wish them good luck.

Hi. I don't have the exact answer to your question yet, but you should talk to your friend about it. Not over the phone, but actually sit down and talk to her about it. If she does not want to listen or gets mad e-mail me and i might be able to give you better advice. For now this is all the advice i can give you and good luck.

I wouldnt help her just give her advice. Usually if you help them they just decide to go back to them. If you find any real good answer or advice, you might let me know I am facing that with my sister
