I put the blame mostly on Bush for starting it. The people who support whatever he does are mindless followers; I don't reallly blame them because they were raised to think that ANY war is patriotic--including Vietnam and now Iraq. I wish there was a way to end this war sooner...something that citizens could do to make it clear. The he number of people who support the war plunging, thousands of young soldiers killed, thousands of innocent people in Iraq being killed, the rape of that young girl and murder of her and her whole family--you'd think that would be enough. I think this war will continue at least another year, then we'll leave that country in the lurch, in horrible condition, with no support.

P.S. I am a lifelong Republican.

Israel did not Say they would fight no more....they said they would agree with the UN......I am sure that Israel would have preferred to take out all of the Hezbollah....but they went in to defend themselves....and get their men back....the UN resolution will get the men back, and put in a force that will help protect them from the terrorists......they got what they wanted generally....and they will not have to have more die in the war....

I'm American and I didn't choose Bush OR the war. The war will continue until Bush loses interest. Right now, he's hell bent on being stubborn and blind.

Former prime minister barak said it was because israel is not going to go against the UN, since they need the world in order to survive.

The US is actually 50 countries together, so they dont really need anybody elses support if they dont want it. Every one of the states has its own army called the national guard. Every state controls its own laws, the federal government controls health and multistate affairs.

Israel doesn't "wish to fight no more" they are only stopping because of international presser. as hezbollah has (only) attacked "civilian" targets, the international community should have stayed out of it and let Israel do what NEEDS to be done.

Hmm, maybe because the threat is still there. You can't settle a peace treaty with terrorists, it's impossible.

president bush #2 is responsible. v.p. cheney is responsible. s.o.s. rice is responsible. any american that voted for that braying jackass and his cronies are responsible. i voted for kerry last time and for gore before that, so i'm not responsible, but i'll be just as dead as those who are when planet earth gets "blowed up".
