I go to Egypt and not one bit do I tan!
People say I look like a ghost and make snide remarks about if I've ever been on holiday, but I don't care.

What do you think about being pale? I mean, all the magazines I've read always say about having tanned skin. Sometimes, though, it's a bit over the top.

I've got really pale skin and I love it. It looks classical. It is only very recently that tan skin has become admired, for hundreds of years pale skin was considered beautiful and everyone was bleaching their skin to have the look that we naturally have. If you look in any top fashion magazine many of the top models have pale skin. There are so many types of beauty, each has its admirers. None of us should worry about what look is in fashion now, but should make the most of the type of beauty we are given, whether we are white or any other colour. It would be a boring world if we all had exactly the same shade of brown skin.

I'm an oldie of almost 50, had fair skin all my life and like it that way, don't want skin cancer or wrinkles, so I am happy with my skin as it is, went to Cuba in April, saw a guy basically living in the hot sun from 6 am to 6 pm, his skin was horrendous and when I found out he was only 40 you could have knocked me down with a feather, he sure looked a lot older than he did that's for sure, if people want a tan all well and good for them, but their problem in later life, you just be happy in the skin your in and beggar what anyone says, at least you'll have lovely skin in your old age unlike the ones that make the snide remarks, good luck.

I love tanned skin just like I love deathly pale skin. Why pale skin? Because I love the way someone with pale skin looks.... especially if they wear a nice glossy red lipstick and have a lot of black eyeshadow. It's that romantic/gothic look pale skin has that I also love! But that's just me and my weird opinion. Besides, don't worry about it. Nowadays, everyone's going in to get lighter skin and stuff. Also, I have a friend who's really pale... everyone laughs at her too for that but I think she looks awesome!

Hey, you'll get the last laugh when at 40 they look more like 50 because of sun damage to the skin, not to mention the higher risk of cancer of the skin if you expose to to much sun.

If you really feel self conscious about being pale try a good, light, fake tan. But don't go mad with it.

Pale is the new tan. Smart people have realized that being tan is not worth the risks. So don't even worry about what those people say about your skin tone, they're still caught up in last year's fad. I think pale is beautiful.

I think I also have pale skin! lol! Seriously, I also have pale skin. I hate it that people are always making a big deal about trying to be tan. But just in case, I've bought some sunless tanning lotion. Havn't got the courage to try it yet, because I'm afraid I'll screw up. lol.

Being of Indian origin, I can't really comment on how it might feel to have pale skin. But I must say, I think it looks nice. Why do you have to look tanned anyway? As long as you eat and drink healthily, your skin will look great what ever colour it may naturally be. Don't worry about it...Really!

first thought: don't wear shorts

get a tan maybe not very dark but kinda olivy
nicole kidman is pale but admired on the red carpet
if you are ok with yourself and it don't bother you then why try to be like something else.... I have a medium tan tone but it is ok because I was born that way and I am not of the caucasian race, yet I am asked all types of questions

I think pale skin looks really pretty if its clean and free or pimples and blemishes. It looks so pretty with a rosey/peach cheeks too. I would love/not be upset if i had pale skin. Plus its different. Not alot of people have it. And people who all look orange and fake say you look like a ghost they are just jealous so ignore and know your beautiful !
