Because they don't want to hear about it, simple as that.
In 1832 a U.S. Senator named Henry Berry said to the Virginia house of Delegates: "We have as far as possible closed every avenue by which the LIGHT (truth) may enter the slave's mind. If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work would be complete. They would then be on the level with the beast of the field".
Willie lynch said:
"Our experts warned us about the possibility of this phenomenon occurring, for they say that the mind has a strong drive to correct and recorrect itself over a period of time if it can touch some substantial original historical base and they advise us that the best way to deal with this phenomenon is to shave off the brutes mental history and create a multiplicity of phenomena of illusions, so that each illusion will twirl in its own orbit, something similar to floating balls in a vacuum."...." and being a fool is one of the basic ingredients of and incidents to the maintenance of the slavery system."
Because It keep blacks under that slave masters plan. The crutch is use just to keep that topic from coming up so all the thing American and whites did to the black race over the years will go invain. They admitt the want you to forget it by saying "forgive and FORGET" again that part of the slave masters plan to forget it.

My great grandfather and his brother were brought here from Germany and sold for $500 dollars each. (And they were white so slavery was not limited to blacks.)
Slavery was a horrible time in America's history. I believe that we should never forget that time in history. But, I also believe that no one can understand anything about it but the people who were slaves at the time.
So yes I think it should be motivation for us to see what a great opportunity that are fathers before us did not have.

How do I know you know Will Smith - all I have is your world. I heard him interviewed saying he dwells on being a good father to his son and that motivates him for a MSNBC Hero's and Legends piece. Has you interview been published? Post the link.

I don't really know what you are asking so I will say what I want. I think that 9 out of 10 black people think that white people owe them something. I do not owe any black people any apologies. Blacks today are not slaves nor do any know people who were slaves. I do not uderstand then why I am supposed to feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for your great great great grandpaw, but feel not a bit of sorrow for you. One day you might come down off of your high horse and realize that nobody cares about how you feel about slavery. That means I don't care wether you dwell on it, or if you use it as a crutch. Either way it does not matter to anyone, but you. Good day.

The only people who are hung up on slavery are normally just people who think some other group owes them something for noting. No one alive today put anyone in slavery or had anything to do with it. Nor is there anyone alive now that fought in the war that freed the slaves. Many thousands of white Americans lost their life's to end slavery. Yet after so many giving everything people still think someone owes someone something. When are we going to move on. We are all people and some gave all to make your life good and you should be proud of. Not damning white people over it.
The frame of mind that someone owes you something because of something that did not even happen to you, makes the ones that you are saying owes you wonder why? We did not do it.
Get it in your head that just because you are black and I am white does not mean I owe you anything. The people who in-slaved your great great great grand parents lost the war. We put them in their place and you are free and never seen one minute of slavery your life. This was at a cost of white lifes lost in war, So black peple could live free. Whites was fighting for you so why do you want to blame me after we fought so hard. My grand parents fought so hard. But if you say I owe you I can say I was the one who fought for you.
Get over it.

what about the 100,000 German immigrants that were put into the United States concentration camps during WW2 and not let out until there years after the war ended[1948] ? you want to talk about suppression like you have the only people that were scr-w-d. I think you need to take another look at American history and not just was rewritten to be politically correct.

EDIT: I understand that I examine this question incorrectly till now each and every thing. i presumed that option A replaced into blacks residing IN slavery, rather than ON slavery. See the place I made my mistake? by using fact it rather is residing on (ie, remembering) slavery as against killing one yet another, of direction the superb suited answer could be A. there isn't something incorrect with remembering previous injustices and getting a feeling of community from overcoming them. regardless of if, based on your questions and reactions, i could say you worded this question this type on purpose with a view to make white human beings look undesirable and as a result added your racist schedule. (specific, racism runs the two procedures, i'm afraid.) with the aid of the way, a number of my ancestors have been slaves, too. My super-super-grandmother replaced right into a slave who replaced into impregnated with the aid of her "grasp". with the aid of way of the only-drop rule, i'm seen black, too, even however i'm 15/sixteen white. interior the context of ways I replied the question orignally, (residing IN slavery as against killing one yet another) I nonetheless stand with the aid of B. regardless of if that's a moot factor, by using fact it rather is not what you have been asking in any respect. unique (misunderstood) answer: Wow! that's a surprisingly unfair question, do not you think of? If a white guy or woman solutions A or B, he/she would be seen a racist. yet i think of I see the factor you're making right here. A, black human beings residing in slavery, is in simple terms incorrect. a guy or woman's epidermis shade would not lead them to any much less of a guy or woman. to maintain somebody as a slave ability to handle them below an animal. confident, they're saved risk-free, fed and clothed and all that groovy things, yet they're very humanity is stripped from them. B, black human beings killing one yet another, sounds deplorable. regardless of if, why ought to they be envisioned to act any in yet in a distinctive way than something of humanity? all of us kill one yet another each and every from time to time. it rather is the character of our species. It emcompasses our unfastened will, our might desire to stay to tell the story and our humanity. So B. My answer is and continuously would be, B.

Anglo whites have never experienced any wrong doing in their history such as slavery, or the holocaust. They can never understand what it feels like to be RIPPED of your culture, beat, hung, spit on, raped etc. No one will ever understand our struggle except us.

no one ever tells Jewish people to get over the Holocaust. like someone said anglo's don't know what it's like so it's easy to tell us to get over it. i know for a fact that my family is a product of slavery RAPE. in fact the family that were slave owners live in Alabama. they know about my family. some of my family members still carry their last name. black people don't feel like white people owe us anything, but some of us do feel like we should get reparations since we never did get our 40 acres and a mule. the excuse that they can't trace african americans now to slaves is b.s.
