You have to ask yourself what have I accomplished in life and is that significant? What could I have done better or different. Have I been true to the things that I espouse, and have I been consistant with my personal values and goals?
Are the lives of my friends and family better because I have lived, or is there no impact, positive or negative that I can discern in their lives.
Have I made someones life better because I came along and helped, or failed to help them where I could?
Have I lived in a consistant manner with the ideas and values and cultural beliefs handed down to me by my parents?
Am I now and will I be at the end of my life, a good and honorable person?
As I draw my last breath, I want to know that I was a force for good in the lives of those people closest to me; my friends, and family and the people I have worked with.
I want to know that I have shed light in the dark, and taught people where I could, and made their day a little better because we have crossed paths.
If this is the sum total of my life, and people love and cherish me, then it has been worthwhile. Dollars and cents mean nothing at the moment of my death, and hollow promises of friendship will fall upon deaf ears.

There are many ends. Which one are you talking about? The end of a rapelling rope comes down to the bottom of the rock formation. The end of the mini blinds come down to the bottom of the window. The end of my finger comes down to my computer mouse.
