Hi, i am the one that asked a question yesterday about inducing well today i have a question about pain. I have been having labor pains but they are still to far apart to go to the hospital they are 2-3 hours apart lasting about 30-45 sec. I have been having this stabing pain in my uterus everytime i start walking around and it hurts real bad and i also get them when im laying and the baby moves. I was just wondering if any one else thats as far along as me are getting the same pain or what could it mean? My mom is a nurse and she said that it sounds like the baby is trying to break my water but i don't know. This is my first baby and i have no idea what it could be. I have a drs. appt in the morning at 9:30 and he said he might induce then. Please HELP! Also i am 39 weeks tomorrow.

Every pregnancy is different but at 39 weeks I would say you are about to have a baby! All the best to you and by the way I recommend the epidural. :)

Hi, my friend is about to burst too. She had those same pains yesterday when I took her to town. We had a girls / kids day out. While we were gone she started having those same pains. She is dialated 4cm and her cervix is thinned out. The doc also said that he could feel the baby's head during examination. Anyhow I wish also that I knew what those pains were. If you think that you are close or that they are real contractions and not braxton hicks then maybe you should walk or climb stairs. Anyhow with my second child I got real mad about something and plopped down on the couch and my water broke. Funny huh. Well just try to do things that could hurry it along like walking. Good luck and keep us all informed.

doesnt sound like he is trying to break your water.... Thats silly. It does sound like you may be having contractions to get you ready for full blown labor. Trust me you would rather go into labor than be induced. Good Luck!
