No.
People can take screenshots of their screen and then extrapolate the photo so no matter how you put it on the screen it can be copied. The only thing to do is put a watermark over the image and I mean on the image itself and save it as a JPG, not a layered PNG. Yes people could rub this watermark out but depending on the image it would be a lot of work.
If you put something on the site saying the pictures are your copyright, you can technically, request or even sue someone who uses them on their site but it depends if you find out about it or not.

Best and easiest way is to watermark your pic but not with a small copyright in a cormer, display right across image several times in a light grey . Someone with a bit of knowldeg may be able to reomve it but your are talking hours of hours to do a decent job, even then you will know the pic has been altered.
make it 72 dpi only as well but small dimensions toono bigger than 10cm by 10 cm.
Digital watermark will work to identify the owner should some else try and claim it is there work.
disabling right click does no good at all, all you do in that case in left click, hold drag to new window then you copy and save it then.

Nothing much you can do.
A good watermark can only be removed at the cost of degrading the image.
Another method - which just makes it traceable - is steganography. You can encode data (such as a copyright notice) into an image. Almost unremovebale and undetectable, but easy for you to check if it is a copy of one of yours.

Sorry to say that in this day and age watermarks are a non starter, anyone with a bit of Photoshop knowledge can remove them, you could try to disable right click to prevent "save as" but then the Ctrl, Prt Scr keys come into effect and wipe that out. Remember if you can view it on your screen you can capture it.

I notice you asked another question regarding Visual studio 2005. See attached article related to HTTP Handlers (you can write these in C# or VB.NET). This will assist in that you can catch the request to the site for your image and the handler can watermark it thus stopping people using it without credit. You will notice the Sydney Morning Herald and other such sites use a simmilar mechanism on their images.

i used to get my pics stolen all the time. even if i put copyright on the bottom of it, they just crop it out. the only way you can protect them is if you write your name or something OVER the picture so they cant crop it out. Put your logo at a very detailed spot so it's hard to remove without messing the pic up. I hope this helps!

There is no practical way to protect anything that is downloaded to someone's computer. If it displays, it is in their cashe. Put a notice on your site that everything is copyrighted and be ready to sue if you think it is worth it.
Magazines and books have the same problem. How do you stop copying there?

One thing I always do is make sure that all of my pictures are not larger than 800 X 800. Sure one can make a 4 x 6 of that, but they would be hard pressed to make anything larger than that.

A copyright notice will make it illegal to copy them. Now the people may still copy, but if they ever use it else where on the net, then you can go after them legally.
