his other babymomma filed when she found out i was pregnant and he hasnt paid any on it and doesnt take care of his son. he doesnt take care of my daughter and wont pay if i file. so should i file?

Yes. File for child support. Heck, he MIGHT win a lottery, or have a rich uncle die. Even if you don't get a penny, legally establishing paternity is important. He could die, in which case your child would receive social security, and have a college education paid for. Basically, you get nothing now, how can it be less? And, it might help your child.

yes you should file, if you don't you're a fool! if you file and he does not pay you can go to court and make him pay. besides it's not for you. It's for your child. Taking care of kids cost allot. everyone needs help.and some day your child will ask questions, at least you can let them know that it really is hard to do it all on you own. as they get older they will understand. a child has enormous respect for a parent that will walk through fire for them.

Yes. By not filing, you are telling him, "oh, I already know you won't pay, so go ahead and keep treating me like shyt"
You are letting him act like that. Don't be lazy. That baby is your responsibility and you should do EVERYTHING in your power to do your part. and that is to at least file for custody. Believe me, not paying does catch up with him, and at least you know that you have done ALL you can do to provide for your baby, even though you made the mystake of getting pregnant by this LOSER.

u file anyways why? bc the state will go after him plus if u have to file for public assistance then they will make u file anyhow..but it dont matter if he dont file bc the state will find him n garnish his checks or put him in jail either way u will get paid it may take forever but ur child will get his or her money one day

I think it's a good idea to keep something like that as an option. There is also ways to pursue it legally if he doesn't pay.
