Of course, it's done all the time. The only people who can contest your point of view are those who were present, and that is limited for the most part to just a few people out of billions. Now with the proliferation of cheap video, that's another story... Now, are we going to have a videotape-burning?

To a certain extent, but it always seems the facts eventually get uncovered. It may take centuries, but it's much easier to fool people in the present than it is to fool future generations.

Actually current events get rewritten every day. Just look at how conservatives claim Bush won the Presidency and then look at the facts of his illegal coup.
