But now it is written by those who are better at using the internet?

I am old enough to have personally been aware of most of what has been told in the news for about half a century. The history I remember is not what is being spread all over the internet.

For instance: Originally Palestine existed, then it said that Palestine was never a state so the Palesinians have no rights. Now, since that hasn't worked, Zionists are saying that the land was devoid of people before 1948. And the Arab influx occurred concurrent with the Zionist influx. They are even claiming that it was the Palestinian Jews who fought the British and forced them to abandon Palestine. I've seen pictures of Moshe Dayan and I used to know his wife, Rachel personally. They were not semitic, they were European.

Yes, it is still true, but the definition of "Victors" has changed. Those who are victorious are the ones who can create the most appealing histories to the greatest number of people. Reagan used to tell a story how he was there when the Dachau death camp was liberated. It was a great story, but it was completely false and it coul dbe proved false, but people still believed it. There were many other lies he told, but now he's a hero to many people because his lies were so appealing.

To tell you the truth, I think you are full of it.

Do you know what a straw man argument is?
Claim the other side said something they never said and then proceed to argue against it.
Only in your case, you never actually argue against it, just bring in false information to make they other side look contradictory.
The only thing that matters is the truth, not the history that you allegedly remember.
So, yes, there was a place called Palestine (the British Mandate of Palestine and the Palestine that was a part of the Ottoman Empire). Nobody argues against that. But what is a fact that there never was an independant Arab STATE of Palestine.
There were a few opportunities for the creation of one, but that never actually happened.
And no reputable historian, Zionist or otherwise, claims the place was devoid of people before 1948.
And, although, yes there were Arabs in that area for centuries (as well as a tiny community of Jews) a majority of those who were there in the first half and the last half of the 20th century are descendants of those who immigrated in the late 19th and early 20th century.
And I find it odd that you say that the Dayans were European, therefore not Semetic. Did it perhaps occur to you that one can be "European" AND "Semetic"? In other words, they were Jewish and they came from Europe (just like my own ancestors, as a matter of fact).

Thank you for this. Your personal knowledge of events leaves a lot of the claims here as rather hollow. It is interesting that the Jewish and Israeli propoganda machine has been so effective that those without the capacity for independent thought seem to engulf themselves in the lies and are now the propogandists in chief. I know what you say is true, because, I have had the priviledge of reading events at the British Library and examined documents that were released under the official secrets act in GB. Not all the documents surrounding the creation of Israel has been released up to this date. Mind you, you will now be targeted as a Jew hater for speaking frankly about the truth.

Then you know a great deal more about that whole troubled situation than most people do. Regardless of how well people may use the internet, the vast majority of people simply plunk themselves down in front of the TV and absorb whatever comes onto the coloured screen, without giving it any critical thought.
So, it would seem the victors are still winning the information battle.

Very interesting thought, but I'm not sure it's just the Internet. I'm also old enough to remember the pre-computer era, but I think we started to see the beginning of the change with Cronkite in Vietnam. The Internet, however, has had a huge impact in that the world can now have many little Chronkites.

history for the first time can be judge by the facts and not just what is allowed to be reported on .
THATS why people for 30 years have been pushing the character issue so hard .
F you can point a finger and say someone is a drunk coward un-faithfull profited by un-fair practices used influence or any number of liabalist messeges and character assasinations to make the messege less truthfull in its nature if said by someone with a "flawed" character .
LIKE she is a crack head so of course she will say the police harrased her .
THIS means a cop can walk up and tell her to do as he wishes knowing that whatever she says will not be taken seriously .
BLOW me and i will not arrest you becomes possible when you discount the person .
THIS is abuse of power and has occured and many crack head women have been forced to make a choice .
Complaints are never taken seriously and handled with a you better not get to many of these reports or people will begin to wonder , so be carefull .
WE live in a world where power is king and this can end but will not because people will simply say you are making it up and i do not believe you .
ITS all to common to deny internet stories as just that a story .
ONLY people who can do some research and drw similuar conclusions as you will be respected and those who are not dismissed .
I hope some day that the truth is allowed to be heard and that all actions can be properly viewed for what they are .
AS for your palestiniian problem and view many support it and still many call it bunk .
After all two soldiers were taken by terrorists and that in the worlds eye is not going to change any-time soon.
ONCE some one accepts a story as fact it is hard to inform them of the truth .
SO what if 9000 people are held captive , they are terrorists and this is the truth that people have been told and accept .
TO change there mind you need to have an individual like the pope come out and say that Israel is as much to blame as lebanon and only by working together can peace be achieved .
THAT would be like asking the members of the KKK to allow blacks to live in there homes .
THIS just ain't going to happen .
WORLD leaders and religious leaders have pled for 50 years for these two groups to try and live in peace.
THERE will be no peace until one side is completely destroyed and i would suggest that one side or the other take control of the middle east before america comes in and does it for you .
BOTH sides in any conflict are wrong for not working it out .
THIS includes leaving if that is the only way peace can be achieved .
YOU must win the hearts and minds of your enemy to make him your nieghbor.
IF not he is still your sworn enemy and no matter what you do the conflict between you will continue to fester underneath and spill out of the wound that has never been closed .
GOOD luck to you and I hope you can find peace .

Good question. I tend to believe it's written or Rewritten by the politically correct nowadays.
As far as the Palestinians are concerned, it's always easy to deny the existence of and dehumanise the culture of the people you are against. It makes it easier justify to destroying them
