I want to know if an ECS P5SS-Me motherboard will support a 60GB IDE hard disk?

Yes.

However that motherboard is so old, that the performance of the HDD will be much worse then if u put it in a newer motherboard.
If ur really using that thing, u can get a new one for less then that HDD cost, and u probably should.

Well there is ONLY ONE answer for ur case:
Dont listen to others so they are talking bu***hit. I just check website and this is a very old MOBO. I the best case will support a 40 GB HDD .....but there is absolutely no WARANTY.
So BEST for you is to buy a NEW mobo+proc.

as far as i know hard drives and motherboards arent really related so any motherboard should be compatable.
