Marriage means you get to live with your best friend, and can know that no matter what the world throws at you, you can count on one person to be there to help.

The real meaning of a marriage, is far more than a piece of paper or just a deduction on your tax return! When you truly and completely love someone and you decide to marry them, it is a connection of the heart! When you say, I do, it means that no matter what, you will stand by and support that person! FOR BETTER:when everything in life is seen through rose colored glasses
FOR WORSE: when your husband seems to do everything in the world to get on your nerves and your wife has gained weight and your husband is going bald and when it seems that neither of you can do anything right!
FOR RICHER: when you don't have any kids or debts and it seems as if you have a never ending supply of money!
FOR POORER: when the kids come along and you have a 2nd mortgage on your house and your car payment is over due, etc.
IN SICKNESS:when you are both old and tired and you can't seem to manage to get enough energy to get off the couch, much less plan a romantic weekend alone!
IN HEALTH:when it seems that you are invincible to the world and you long for the weekends of passionate love making!
PROMISE TO LOVE AND CHERISH: that means that no matter how much your wife is being a big pain and never seems to want to be around you and no matter how much your husband seems to like football season more than you! That you will love, honor and protect each other for the rest of your lives, till death YOU DO PART! For the rest of your lives, you will love no one else in this way but each other, that no matter how hard times may get you will do what ever it takes to work it out and see it through till the end of all eternity!
That is the meaning of marriage to me! It may seem stupid, but I am the last of the hopeless romantics left in the world and that is how I feel about my marriage to my husband! I hope this helps! Good luck and God bless!

marriage is like one heart in two bodies. if one body feels pain other has to feel that pain. if one body is happy other one has to feel happiness. heavenly bonding between each other. having rresponsibility on each other. no mathmatical equation can solve it, so always need to sacrifice for each other and share everything. this bonding and marriage becomes successful by giving birth of beloved offspring. they are the sign of couple's love for each other on this earth.

My mother used to tell me that if you think that you are in love and want to marry them - Just picture yourself washing their dirty socks and underwear by hand!
