By considering yourself emo and saying it just like that, it makes one think that you might be just another one of those posers... going goth when it's "in", going punk when goth's "out", etc. It doesn't matter what you wear whether you're goth, emo, prep, whatever. It's not the clothes that make you emo or goth or prep or gangster. It's not all those stereotypes you have to follow (ex: emo kids wear glasses, etc.)... but it's the inside. Emo doesn't mean you have to wear emo clothes, so find out what it truly means to you before going off about being emo!
Like me, I'm not goth but I wear clothes that would be considered goth. I wear corsets, garters, stockings, gloves. Basically I wear what I want to wear. It has nothing to do with fitting in with the typical stereotypes. It's if it's what you want. If nobody accepts you for that, then **** them!

jump in front of a big crowd and then start sobbing like there's no tomorrow (remember to wear lots of black eyeliner). Next pull out a razor and cut your wrist. EMO!

oo well u have uniforms so u really cant i was going 2 say wear gloves that say love hate ...i have tghem they sell them at (ht) and waer a lot of black eyeliner ...adn if u haev like huge cuts in ur wrist ppl should no thats ur emo....but wait ur not really emo tho cuz if u were really emo u wouldnt be asking ppl how 2 be emo........

honestly, you shouldn't wear a type of clothes just because you want people to think you're emo.
i dont understand why you'd want to label yourself like that anyhow. you should be whoever you want to be. but be YOU.
if i dress emo it's not because i'm emo it's because i'm amelia...
dress in whatever clothes you think best represent your personality.
stop trying to conform to what everyone else thinks. conform to yourself. do what makes you happiest or its not worth it.
