I was a NASCAR fan for 3 years w/o a favorite driver until I saw Jimmie Johnson race in the 2002 Daytona 500 - I've been hooked since then. I just like the way he handles himself w/ class, never wines or complains, is rarely involved in on track altercations, and always run at the front when the day is done. I think he has the fewest DNFs, fewest wrecks, and most wins since his 2002 rookie season among all drivers.

I followed NASCAR a little in the late 80s because of my then-boyfriend, but stopped after breaking up with him in 1992. I kept half an ear out for racing news, though, and in 1999 heard about this guy who was going to race in the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca Cola 600 in the same day, and thought, "Hmmm, that's pretty gutsy..." and have been a Smoke fan ever since.

I was originally a Indy car fan only. When Nascar came to the Ol' Brickyard, I went to the qualifications with my Dad. I was very skeptical of the stock cars, though my Dad said "you may as well pick someone to cheer for these guys will be coming back forever". So I grabbed his program and started thumbing through it, my Dad asked "what are you looking for"? I replied "I'll choose whoever is the closest to me in age". And Jeff Gordon was it. Jeff won the inaugural Brickyard, guess I picked pretty good. Now I cheer on Jeff and Jimmie Johnson. And a few other Monte Carlo drivers.

Watch NASCAR suitable shows on % and prerace and postrace insurance to work out interviews with drivers. Watch some interviews and be conscious which driver has this variety of personality that you want. do not purely root for a driver because your friends do, discover one which you want. with the exception of personality, also watch the races and pay interest to the racers' using form. Do you want particularly aggressive kinds that probability probability, do you want gentlemanly drivers that race extra sparkling, or do you want drivers that race grimy because they'll do some thing to get to victory lane, etc. i wager there are a selection of issues that go into picking a fave driver, yet I many times concentration on personality, body of ideas and using form. desire this helps and with the aid of ways, tremendous question!

I really haven't chosen a new favorite since Dale Sr's passing, but I am most supportive of Jeff Burton and Dale Jr. I admired that Dale Sr gave so much back to the fans, and to the sport itself. I see a lot of that in Dale Jr. Burton I like just because he's a great driver that hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves.

Tony Stewart has been my driver since I started watching NASCAR. I'm not exactly sure why. It's probably partially the fact that he's from Indiana, like me, but you'd think I'd also be a Ryan Newman fan if it were that. I don't know. Tony just kind of grew on me throughout time.

My favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. I watched a race with my dad a few years ago & I liked the way Junior raced. I've been watching every NASCAR race since. He's a good driver & a clean racer, that's why I like him. He seems like a nice guy, too.

This is going to sound silly, but it's the truth: I saw Ryan Newman in a Gillette Young Guns ad and thought he was hot so I decided to watch a race. I got hooked on NASCAR and owe it all to Newman! Go #12!!!

Well my favorite driver is Carl Edwards-When he first came to Nascar I was a fan..When picking I look at:
XxX..He has to be a talented driver..XxX
XxX..His personality..XxX
XxX..His driving technique..XxX
XxX..The way they treat other drivers..XxX
XxX..And his attitude..XxX
-I could tell I liked Carl because of his unique personality, his constant smile, he admits to his mistakes, he doesnt whine or complain [-like Tony Stewart-], not to metion he is absolutely gorgeous [-as well as Kasey Kahne-]..I thought his way of celebrating a win was pretty awesome as well..
-Good Luck-
