Conservatives and War? No political rhetoric here please just answer the question..?

Why is it that liberals always seem to fall behind the excuse republicans love killing and love bloodshed? Do most liberals really belive that conservatives like killing and war? Becasue to me it seems crazy to think that they really trully like killing and war. I think that sometimes war as terrible as it is is neccasary, becasue the peope we are fighting do not respond to words and treaties and cease fires. All they want is to bring death to America and how do you combat that hatred with out having to use violence? Please just answer the questions and don't just post political rhetoric.

Well the liberal people i have talked to have said that to me. I understand that beliefs obviously change from person to person. I also listen to radio talk shows and I hear frequently callers and guests say that.

But i think to say only conservatives profit from wars is completely ignorant. I think it is more fair to say liberals and conservatives alike profit from war. You have to understand that not only conservatives run major companies, liberals profit just as much as democrats.

You are right, and the right knows that fact....hell, how do you threaten a person that is willing to kill themselves for their beliefs.....you can't make treaties, or cease fires....what are they going to do....keep it because you might kill them....they praise that thought....don't forget the Israelis, they want them gone too....and all that do not think as they do......War is Horrible.....but in some cases, it is the only way, sadly

First off your question start with political rhetoric by declaring all Liberals use the excuse. That said, I will try to answer.

There is, within the US mostly, a core group of conservatives who do believe war is not only good but also good for their wallets. This may not be pleasant to hear but many wars have more to do with economics and/or commodities than with righteous ideals. Iraq is a case in point, not only was it good for Haliburton, it was not a legitimate target for the US but the US economy needed a boost and the President could not justify his lack of success with not finding the REAL one responsible for 911, one Osama Bin Laden. Now if that is not enough, consider this link (http://www.newamericancentury.org/statementofprinciples.htm), it is in effect a declaration and manifesto of what most citizens of the world deem the real reason for the aggression of the Conservative US administration. It is in effect a declaration that Conservatives want to literally rule the world, and what better way than through wars of attrition. It's not a new strategy, the Romans and even Britain did it, it's just that the Conservatives are more bloody about it.

Now, had the conservatives stayed the course in finding the mass murderer Osama Bin Laden, perhaps they would not now be seen the way they are. It simply is what it is.

I am not aware of any diplomatic efforts of any consequence that tried to settle the important issues other than under Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton! So stop trying to justify what has happened. Expand your mind and help us try to solve it peacefully!

Democrats are tree hugging hippies and don't want anything "bad" to happen to anyone. So they'll use whatever means they can to make Republicans look bad.
