My sister- in -law has been trying to get me to shop at IKEA recently. Thanks for the heads up...I have enough junk as it is.A yard sale would be more appropriate.Maybe some people think they will have the perfect little space with new items. In my opinion, furniture, especially was better made years ago, before the put it together yourself era came about. And what in heck do they make office chairs out of these days, mine is splitting, and was overpriced to begin with.I am going to have to shop for an antique office chair next time.I hope Office Max is reading this, but then they would never make a profit if it was made out of a more durable fabric like baseball mitt or something like that. And the cushions need desperate analysis ,too!!

Re-cycle products must have to go for recycle after certain period of time, and these are the wishes they were selling all over other wise no human can buy anything accept food item, i n a cultured society people always remove their trash, used item, and good to use again give up to others, salvation army is the best place,.,its also shows the value of labour, if some 1 buy 1 thing and when did' t need any more they might break it and dump, but they give to them to help others,.,

A number closely approaching 100%.

As we say in my family "IKEA: Swedish for crooked piece of crap" after finding that all their junk is always warped and useless for any real function. I'll use plywood and cinder blocks before I touch IKEA ever again.

i totally agree. but the real thing that irks me isn't the end tables in the landfill, but all the electronic gadgets like outdated cellphones, computers and office machines that biodegrade into something toxic. yes, i think we buy all this stuff to satisfy our longing for something more meaningful and long lasting.
