ok, I'm 45 and I feel like I'm getting ready to start menopause. My periods are WACKY. I'll either be 2 weeks late, or really early, and I had one that lasted 3 weeks. Mood swings like crazy!! I've had a few hot flashes, your face feels like it's going to roast off. I guess I'm pre-menopausal. Some women really have a hard time of it, and some go through it like it's nothing. I think I know what your sister's man must be going through. I live alone, but have a "friend" and he says I can really be a bit*h sometimes. lol

Well the menopause are pretty horrid - Im 24 and have had a hysterectomy so I know where she is coming from. The symptoms are hot flushes, night sweats, irritability, mood swings..... She should go and get a blood test done because if she has an answer to her moods then it won't affect her relationship xx

These are the symptoms:
in menopause estrogen level goes down, causing
*sleeping disorder
*breast shrinking
*dry skin
*emotion changes
*the number of hair follicles goes down
*the vagina gets dry
The time when menopause starts depends on the gens, and it can be influenced by smoking.
(it causes earlier menopause).
Menopause usually comes somewhere between 47-55 years.
Five to 10 years before menopause is called pre-menopause and that's when the process starts.
A women lives about 30 years after menopause.
P.S. sorry if there are any type errors !

It may not necessarily be the menopause. My sister was behaving in this way and we all felt sorry for her husband but are you sure nothing is amiss behind closed doors? It took time but it later came to light that her husband was a controlling, manipulating man. (this may not be the case but just in case watch out for the signs)

hot flashes are usually the first sign, irritability and harsh emotion happy one minute sad the next. if she has insurance she should go to the dr and get her levels tested and they will prescribe meds to help with the symptoms. or you can go to the drug store and get over the counter herbs see if they help other wise they should go to a marriage counselor that will help them communicate better. tell them you are concerned and love them and you want to help. good luck
